ABOUT The Native American Center Project in Fargo, North Dakota sits in the heart of downtown. Our committed staff works to enrich the lives of Native American youth and families in the surrounding area by providing educational services, cultural programming and direct support to reduce poverty in the Fargo metropolitan area. We work to preserve cultural traditions with our youth and intergenerational families in a safe and welcoming environment.
MISSION To work in partnership with our community to preserve and enhance the diverse culture of Native Americans and to create opportunity to present the accomplishments of an evolving history of Native Americans in the Red River Valley.

STAFF Elverna (Vilas) Bedeau, White Earth Band of Ojibwe Enrollee has been with the CDR/Native American Center Project since September 2008. Elverna Bedeau received Liberal Arts and Science AA degree in 2010 from Minnesota State Community and Technical College. She has lived in the FM area for the last 24 years and loves the community! Elverna currently live with her husband and 3 kids. She is currently Vice-President of Daughters of the Earth and works closely with the Fargo Native American Commission on issues affecting the community and she works closely with the sweatlodge sub committee. She is also part of the Native American Coalition in which all programs meet regularly to network with organizations that are serving Native American clients.
Elverna Bedeau currently works as Cutlural Project Assistant for the Native American Center Project and works with Fargo/Moorhead Indian Education Programs and other Native programs in the area. We collborate to bring acitivities that are intergenerational to the area to keep culture and tradition alive in an urban setting. I also help with tribal resources such as contacting your tribe or tribal enrollments. We are a resource center that is open to serve the urban Native American population and help with job search; free computer use for job search and as a place to socialize or hold events.
